There are at present 39 members, attendances 56, Monday 18, Wednesday 21, Thursday17. We welcome Joan Wilson and Jean Briggs who attend on Wednesdays. We also welcome Sylvia Ulph who is helping in the kitchen on Mondays. Heather Sully, our hard working Secretary and Treasurer wishes to join her husband Peter in his retirement. She has kindly agreed to stay until a replacement is found and will continue as a volunteer on Mondays .Booking forms for the outing on the 8th July will be available at the end of June. On the 22nd July there will be the second Coffee Morning and Auction, donations of items to sell are welcomed.

We welcome Duncan McDonald who attends on Wednesdays We thank everyone who supported the Open Coffee and cake morning held on the 10th April, it raised in total £313 for day centre funds. .Our thanks also to the Slimmer world group who agreed to donate the profits from their fete in the village hall on the 6th April to the day centre. Members enjoyed the outing to Bawdeswell Garden Centre , some taking the opportunity to do some shopping.
After the distribution of the April newsletter we were informed of the death of Jim Foulger. Jim was a committee member for many years and we will miss him. We welcome Barbara Gidney as the new Thursday group representative. We note with sadness the recent death of Margaret Kirby, who was our longest serving member. On the 29th April we received the sad news that our much loved cook Shirley Judd had died , our sympathies to her husband Roger. |
