We welcome new member Margaret Muskett who is attending on Tuesdays. We have been informed of the recent death of Thursday member Edna  Mercer.
On Tuesday 21st May there was a presentation of a cheque for £200. This was money raised by the Taverham youth club led by Kerry Johnson and match funded by P Nunn Installations. We appreciate the support we receive from local organisations. Liz Hodgson is leaving the day centre on the 27th June. We thank her for the support she has given the day centre for nearly five years.
A reminder that the centre will be closed for its summer break on Tuesday 30th July and Thursday 1st August.

We welcome new members Elsie Lee , Michael Ramsbottom. Some centre members and staff attended Paul Brown’s funeral.  During the tributes to Paul we were told that he was an artist and had been a very keen athlete and president of a running club. His working life was as a compositor printing many of the main national newspapers.
At the end of the Annual General Meeting some members told the committee about the entertainers that they liked and one that they did not like.  It would help the planning of the entertainment program if you could tell Brian what you like or don’t like.

We welcome new member Mollie West who attends on Tuesdays and a new volunteer Lyndsey who is with us on Tuesdays and some Thursdays.  John Holmes and Agnes Smith are both now in residential care and have left the day centre. The family and friends of Ken Lamb made a generous donation in memory of Ken. A thank you letter has been sent to his wife Brenda.    The next outing is to Graves, the butchers, at Briston on Tuesday 5th June. There will be a cold buffet lunch served in the village hall followed by a tour of the farm and an opportunity to buy at the butchers shop and delicatessen.  If a sufficient number of Tuesday members do not want to go on this outing it may be possible for the centre to remain open on that day. An invitation to be on the outing will be given to members in the near future.

I report the death of Frank Gribble, we all admired his days as a soldier.  Celia Underwood and Tony Mant represented the day centre at his funeral.  Ken Lamb who has only been with us for a few weeks has sadly died. We welcome new members Andrew Osborne who attends on Tuesdays and Dorothy Hunt who attends on Thursdays  As a result of comments by some of those who play our bonus ball lottery a recent committee meeting agreed that there should be some minor changes. From Tuesday 3rd April only those numbers issued will be in the draw which will be made at the daycentre on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays. In this way there will be a winner every week.  The money raised by the lottery is used to pay for items not readily available from our core budget. This includes items such as the new dishwasher, Bingo prizes and sometimes a subsidy of outings.
