We should soon receive a generous grant from a scheme known as One Stop Carriers for  Causes    A thank you letter has been sent to the One Stop  shop in Victoria  Road. An application was made in  March to fund the extra minibus for the April outing . We were recently informed that a larger grant has been awarded that will allow us to greatly subsidise the next three outings .  This did require new budget proposals forms to be completed .   We wish a good outcome for Paul as he undergoes several weeks of hospital treatments. We will be missing Judi  Timbers as she returns to part time paid employment.

April was a good month for fund raising. The coffee morning with auction, raffle and cake sale made a total of £226. Tesco,  Drayton, donated £125 from their in store Easter raffle, which was used to subsidise the outing to  The Plough Inn. Our Easter raffle raised £75.
A preliminary examination of our accounts for the financial year ending 31st March 2017 indicates that there was only a small surplus of income over expenditure.  This was mainly due to reduced income from Norfolk County Council Adult  Social  Services. The next committee meeting will discuss the possibility of a small rise in the charge for attendance  at the day centre. A reminder that the centre will be closed for it's summer break on Tuesday 27th June and Thursday 29th June .
