Welcome to your September 2012 Newsletter !
The Annual general Meeting of the Day Centre was held at 11am on Thursday 30th August The Chairman reported changes in the financial arrangements and said that a new charging structure will need to be introduced in October, following approval by the centre’s committee The chairman and the co-ordinator both thanked the employed staff and the volunteers for their support which was required to operate the centre. The coordinator reported on the number of members and on the success of the outings. The treasurer presented the annual accounts which showed that there had been an operating loss of £939 for the financial year ending 31st March 2012. The meeting elected the existing committee members but replacing Jane Daynes with Ray Mason and confirming the election of Victor Dyball. Therapeutic Care is back with a Red Cross volunteer Rachel on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in rotation. As a result of members leaving the day centre some Lottery Bonus Ball numbers are available. For details please contact a staff member. It was announced that there is collection being made for Shirley as we have been informed that she has a serious illness and it is possible that she will be unable to work for a considerable time.
